Identical or fairly similar pieces of content on the same or different websites are called duplicate content. It will not be surprising that the duplicate content, mistakenly or intentionally created, is noticed immediately by the algorithms that become more and more sophisticated with each update and the relevant website is subjected to penalty by Google. Duplicate content may be seen in multiple different websites, as well as in different parts of the same website; in either case, Google will consider them duplicate. Therefore, webmasters who want to achieve better rankings must ensure that each content on their websites is original.
