Above the fold is what users first see when they land on a page before they scroll down. Users who land on the page and don't find what they're looking for will generally leave the website. For this reason, "above the fold" is very important in terms of bounce rate and user experience. Webmasters should make good use of the above the fold space to increase dwell time, and slow page load speed must be out of question. Users must be able to see what's above the fold while the entire page loads. By doing so, users will know the page is loading and won't have to leave.
