Cases where search engine bots or users that are trying to enter a web page get redirected multiple times. Although it occurs too fast to be noticed by the users, it is a negative experience for search engine bots. Google bots can follow a maximum of 5 nested redirects and if the page is loaded after the 5th redirect, it cannot be crawled by Google bots. If there is a redirect, it must be done immediately. Thus, when a permanent redirect is made via a 301 redirect, the related website's loss of link strength can be minimized. Also, since redirect chains negatively affect the crawl budget, redirect errors should be detected and resolved as soon as possible by webmasters.
