720% Increase in the Number of Visitors, 347% Increase in SEO Visibility 

Zeo Agency became the SEO partner of Kitap365.com, established in 2019 by one of the most popular publishers in Turkey, Epsilon, a couple of months after its launch. Kitap365.com, which set out with the slogan of Everyone Read Every Day, has undertaken the mission to offer the customers books from publishers of their choice in the most affordable way possible. The aim of the website is to offer higher-quality services to visitors by gradually increasing its brand awareness. 


The crawlability and indexability problems associated with Kitap365's JavaScript-dominated architecture were among our top priorities. At the same time, however, there were serious and noticeable problems in the category tree, too. Since there were too many pages such as filters, searches, and paging structures, we conducted investigations and made sure that the search engine bots were directed correctly. We took the necessary actions with the help of Kitap365, especially regarding the overuse of slugs and the length of URLs in the URL structure.

By including internal links in the category tree, we made it easier for search engine bots to understand the hierarchy of the website. Users had negative experiences in many of the pages, especially category, sub-category, and author pages. The website didn't have a sitemap at the start of the project. As a result, there were serious issues regarding the number of pages on the site and the ease with which search engine bots could access the site. We shifted our focus especially onto technical SEO issues, category tree problems, internal linking errors, and UX-oriented page development. Also, we aimed to establish a whole new content strategy for the category, sub-category, author pages, and blog. 


We minimized the crawlability and indexability problems on the site, prioritized user experience, and rearranged several fields in the category, subcategory, product, and blog pages. Especially with the commissioning of the blog, the website became more appealing to the target audience. In order to direct both search engine bots and users more accurately, we took actions in terms of category tree and internal linking strategies; we were able to optimize the crawl budget thanks to our quick-win technical SEO recommendations. We took technically critical actions on issues such as the robots.txt file, sitemap, user-specific fields, and structured data markups. By developing a good content strategy, we were able to take advantage of special days, campaigns, and seasonal opportunities, increasing visibility. We were able to achieve a significant increase, especially in our non-brand keyword rankings.

Our project is a great proof of the efficiency of technical SEO-oriented improvements in e-commerce websites, which lead to receiving regular organic traffic.
