Developed by Majestic, Citation Flow is a metric that is calculated using the number of backlinks on a website. Just like Trust Flow, Citation Flow gives a score ranging between 1 and 100. However, Citation Flow focuses on the number of backlinks on a website. A high Citation Flow score does not necessarily mean that the Trust Flow score will be high as well. A website may have a lot of backlinks, but a large number of bad backlinks is a very negative indicator for the respective website. Therefore, Trust Flow and Citation Flow should be used together. The more backlinks websites have from the quality and authoritative websites, the higher the scores of these metrics will be.
