A folder on a computer that is located within another folder is called a subfolder while a path refers to links formed by the ordering of folders. Subfolders are separated by the “/” sign and come after the domain extension (.com/.net/.org) in the URL. For example, in the “https://zeo.org/blog/” address, "blog" is a subfolder. Although subfolders are similar to subdomains in certain ways, they are completely different structures. While a separate area is reserved on the server for subdomains, there is no such space on the server for subfolders.
