When users want to access a web page, communication occurs between the browser and the server. The rules and standards for how this communication occurs are called protocols. Users do not necessarily have to write the protocols, which are located before the URLs, while typing the address they want to access. For example, “https” part in the link “https://zeo.org/” indicates the website protocol. The most popular protocols are HTTP (Hypertext Transfer Protocol), HTTPS (Secure Hypertext Transfer Protocol), and FTP (File Transfer Protocol).
