Founded in France in 1976, Decathlon is a global retailer that offers many different brands of sports equipment. The brand's operations in Turkey are carried out at https://www.decathlon.com.tr/.
Challenges:
Among the most urgent issues to be tackled were the redirections of URLs from the old category tree and duplicate categories. Also, the deficiencies in the meta tag setups were affecting the CTR. Many improvements were required in terms of technical SEO. Thanks to the determined cooperation of the brand in implementing SEO-related actions, difficult SEO issues were resolved.
Purpose:
Increasing the organic visibility and the number of sessions of the Decathlon Turkey website was among our primary goals. By creating a new category tree and solving redirect problems, we achieved great optimization on the category and product pages.
By solving crawlability and indexability issues on the website, we enabled Googlebot to crawl the pages more efficiently. We fixed the problem of hidden content on some pages. We made the desired sophisticated improvements in categories and product names within a certain period of time. We optimized the crawl budget by analyzing all the parameters on the site and setting rules with the robots.txt file. Consequently, in this runner-up project, we were able to make the desired achievements.
