SDM Scientific Nutrition and Diet Solutions, founded in Europe 20 years ago by Endocrinologist Dr. Gilles Terracol, has been operating in Turkey since 2013. The brand strengthened its international presence in 2018 by joining the Spain-based PronoKal Group, a global leader in expert-guided weight control.
SDM’s core business involves providing high-protein, low-carbohydrate and low-fat products developed for use in Low-Calorie Ketogenic Diet programs. Produced according to European Union standards and imported in full compliance with Turkish regulations, SDM Kalibra products aim to provide effective weight control through personalized nutrition programs prepared under expert supervision.
Challenges
Since our website operates in the health sector, it falls directly into the YMYL (Your Money or Your Life) category and was strongly affected by E-E-A-T criteria. However, the lack of sufficient content to support expertise, experience and authority -as well as the absence of expert-focused pages such as dietitian profiles- led to limited keyword visibility and made it difficult to gain authority for existing queries.
The primary challenge was building an E-E-A-T focused structure that provided the trust and expertise signals required by the health industry. Additionally, even though we are not direct competitors, the fact that we were competing in the same search results as hospital and healthcare provider websites with high domain authority made gaining visibility even more difficult. Objective
