6 ChatGPT+ Plugins for Digital Marketing
OpenAI announced that it has opened the plugins and Web Browsing feature in ChatGPT to all ChatGPT+ users. There are more than 70 products in the Plugin Store that you can use for different tasks. In this article, we have reviewed and tried the products in the Plugin Store that you can use for digital marketing. Let's take a look at what's available.
In order to use ChatGPT Plugins, you must first become a ChatGPT+ member. You need to pay $20 per month for this membership. After completing your membership process, the GPT-4 feature opens as you can see below.
Then, to activate Web Browsing and Plugins, click on our profile at the bottom left and open the settings section.
On the next page, go to Beta Features and activate Browse with Bing and Plugins features.
Now web browsing and plugins are ready to use.
You can start using the web browsing feature by creating a new chat, clicking on the GPT-4 feature and clicking on "Browse with Bing" in the menu. So, how can we use this for marketing? For example, you want to create a social media post for a piece of content on your company's website. You can link to the relevant page and ask Bing to do it for you, with alternatives.
Let's enter our sample prompt and see what happens:
Read the article at https://zeo.org/resources/e-books/2023-tourism-travel-hospitality, think step by step and give me alternatives for social media posts on Instagram, LinkedIn and Twitter. Don't forget to use hashtags and emoji.
After entering the request, ChatGPT first clicks on the link, reads the content on the page and finishes the scanning process. Then it uses the content it reads and creates the social media content we requested in a very short time for us. How are the results? Let's examine them all together.
Although the prompt we entered is very simple, the outputs it gives us are very good. You can elaborate your request and make the output even more beautiful. For example; you can limit the number of words, you can also ask it to link to the website in the post content.
To install and use ChatGPT+ plugins, first open the GPT-4 feature and click on Plugins in the menu. Click on Plugin Store in the menu and go to the market area.
In total, there are more than 130 add-ons on the page that opens, each with a different function. One of the shortcomings of the market is that there is no filtering. We have to go through the pages one by one, find the plugin we want and download it. Or you can find it by typing the name of the plugin you want in the search box that came with the last update. Since we will first examine the artificial intelligence-supported advertising tool called RoboAd, we download it.
After the download process is completed, we select the plugins we want on our chat page and start using them. We can choose a maximum of three plugins in this section.
The first plugin we will use is called RoboAd. This plugin generates data for us that we can use when creating ads for our content. For example, we have an industry report and we want to promote this report by advertising in a specific region. Very simply, I entered the following prompt:
I have created a Tourism Industry report for the MENA region. Create campaign content for Google Ads and target the United Arab Emirates. Here is the link: https://zeo.org/resources/e-books/2023-tourism-travel-hospitality
I found the ad content it gave us successful, but it is possible to improve this output and make it perfect by improving the prompt we enter. For example, we can give a word limit for Ad Descriptions, we can ask for more examples for Call to Action or we can give a more specific definition for Ad Title. However, in general, the output we receive according to the request we enter can be used in ads with minor corrections.
Our next plugin is for PDF files that we want to summarize and promote. The purpose and working principle of Link Reader is very simple. We write the link of the PDF file you want to summarize in the chat section and ask it to summarize it.
Read this pdf and create an newsletter about it: https://25537581.fs1.hubspotusercontent-eu1.net/hubfs/25537581/Sector%20Reports/2022%20Sekt%C3%B6r%20Raporlar%C4%B1/Black_Friday_Rehberi.pdf
He read the pdf file we provided and created an 8-page newsletter for us. The answers it gave in the articles were a bit simple, but considering that it is a short summary, we can say that it is successful for now. In this way, you can create a summary newsletter and download the pdf file produced for your target audience. You can also ask artificial intelligence to use a more intriguing sales-oriented language.
Note: The content of the pdf file we provided is in Turkish, but since we entered the request in English, it gave us the result in English.
The plugin we are going to try now allows you to chat with a YouTube video that you provide a link to and ask it questions. It looks like a really fun plugin. For marketing, we can use it by taking a section from the video and turning it into social media content. Let's try it.
First, I gave the link to the video and asked a specific question from it.
Is increasing conversion rate one of the primary goals of SEO? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b4zPQVBF48I
ChatWithVideo told us that the speaker was asked this question and gave us its answer. Even though the time (1:04:00) is wrong, the answer proves to be correct when we check it.
Let's ask him to turn this output into an Instagram post afterwards.
At the last prompt, the plugin didn't run itself, because we asked it to do something based on the answer it had already given. GPT-4 read the previous output and created the Instagram content for us, even suggesting images, even though we hadn't asked for them.
If you want to build something using artificial intelligence and you're having trouble figuring out which tool to use, this plugin is for you. You type the process you want to do with artificial intelligence into There's An AI For That plugin and it instantly lists the most popular AI tools, gives descriptions and adds a link to the site. My example request:
I want to check my website for SEO, what AI tools are there for that?
As you can see in the answer, it listed 10 artificial intelligence tools that you can use for SEO for me.
With the SEO Core AI plugin, the website you link to is analyzed by artificial intelligence. In our example, I asked the AI to analyze https://wope.com/. Then I asked it to give me suggestions for the result. You can see the result in the screenshot below.
Its reminder at the end of its answer was a note to remember for SEO.
"Remember that SEO is a long-term process and it may take time to see improvements in rankings. Continue to monitor your site's performance and make adjustments as needed."
Using the WebPilot plugin, you can ask questions about the website link you have provided and ask the AI to generate content for you based on the content on the website.
In my example, I asked the AI to examine the website https://zeo.org/ and give me 10 blog topics that I can write on Zeo blog. The answer it gave overlapped with the request I asked for, but it seemed a little incomplete. It was as if it only read the link I gave and extracted content from there.
To remove this suspicion, I gave the same link again and asked a question about the topic on a different page on the site and it first crawled the main page. Then, when it couldn't find the answer, it scanned different pages until it found the answer and gave us the answer.
You can see a screenshot of the page where it found the answer below.
When I asked another question to test this again, it was unable to answer. Therefore, we can say that you should not go into too much detail when using this plugin yet.
We have examined web browsing and plugins that work with ChatGPT+ feature with examples. New plugins are added to the Plugin Store every day. If you have a ChatGPT+ membership, you can add a new perspective to your business by following these plugins and using artificial intelligence plugins that can be useful to you.
