The case where users encounter a 404 error page although the URL returns the 200 (success) status code from the server. If a web page is really absent on the server, it should return from the server the 404 status code. Otherwise, this may both mislead the search engine bots and undermine the user experience. Webmasters should pay special attention to web pages with the soft 404 error and take the necessary actions to eliminate this error.
